Read more, live more with OMF Lit Bookshop CDO

OMF Literature, one of the leading Christian publishers in the country, is encouraging all book lovers to #ReadMoreLiveMore through their books. Reading is known to have many benefits, such as increasing one's knowledge, sharpening analytical skills and creativity, and encouraging empathy, especially among youth readers. With OMF Lit titles, readers can reap such benefits, along with learning more about kindness, faith, love and developing their relationship with God and others.

I got invited to witness the relaunch of OMF Lit Bookshop, formerly named Passages Bookshops at the 3rd level of Ayala Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro City. Book lovers who seek inspiration, instruction, and insight are welcome to visit the bookshop and see for themselves books that can transform lives.

Here are some of the photographs from yesterday's relaunching event:

The program was gracefully hosted by Kali Holifena

Part of yesterday's event was a moment with OMF Lit newest author, the celebrity mom, Bettinna Carlos. Bettinna is the mother of Amanda Lucia or Gummy. For 16 years, she pursued a career in television as an actress, host and cook in a cooking show. In 2011, she started a home-based baking business in order to make ends meet as she became a single mom that same year. Being a self-confessed workaholic back then, she decided to let go of TV work when she fell ill in 2016. She took her illness as a wake-up call from the Lord to reassess her priorities. So she chose to focus on being a mother to Gummy, trusting God to be their Father-Provider. She attends Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF) and is active in serving the church's fitness and solo parents' ministry. She is currently a full-time mom while overseeing the daily operations of the bakery-cafe she stewards, C Ki+chenry at The Grove, Pasig. Bettinna still prays to marry one day. You may follow her daily devotions and cooking on Instagram @abettinnacarlos.

Her first book, Heartbreaks & Breakthroughs Making Sense of God's Purpose for Pain was released last September 2019 that focuses on forgiveness and single parenting. Each book is available at its retail price Php250.

OMF Lit Bookshop is open from 10 AM to 9 PM from Mondays to Sundays. For inquiries, please contact their staff at (088) 323-6248 or cdobookshop@omflit.com
